The Ashes series is finely balanced at the end of day 1 of the fourth test with England closing on 229-4. The morning session will be crucial, with wickets for Australia being great for them and runs from KP and AF being vital for England.

Well, well, well! What a day for England, Flintoff and Jones with a fantastic partnership and England finishing on 477, then if that wasn't enough, Australia close the day 99-5!

Well Australia all out for 218, and England enforce the follow on, Australia close at 222-4, not a bad score, but still not out of trouble.
